http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/10ac3a1a13464626dca606234e384d14.png A few weeks back, we gave you a heads up that Disney and Pixar were working together to create a new version of the popular Crossy Road game. The original Crossy Road game launched back in 2014 and is still one of the most used games today. It works on several platforms including Android, iOS, and even Android TV. Earlier in the week, Pixar launched a game titled Disney Crossy Road in partner with Disney. This is essentially a Disney-oriented Crossy Road game that features all the features and game play in the original Crossy Road game, plus dozens more including special themed c…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/9c5f4001cc92428d96b4299c2156b32f.jpgRogue One is this year’s new Star Wars movie. It’s not part of the new trilogy because it's a “Star Wars Story” instead. Disney is looking to broaden the Star Wars universe by releasing additional stories focusing on certain events and characters related to the trilogy, but that don't fit into the main movies. Rogue One tells the story of a band of rebels looking to steal the plans of the Empire's secret weapon, the Death Star, and now the film's first trailer has been released. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/11d181e1ca2c1518cec6be852116ccb1.jpgLG’s brand new G5 flagship phone is without question one of the most innovative smartphones we’ve seen in a long, long time. The device has a number of hot selling points, but expansion is definitely at the top of the list. The modular design allows users to connect different accessories directly to the phone, and a team of companion devices — or "friends" — furthers the experience. Since virtual reality is so hot right now, you can imagine that several of the G5’s available expansion devices focus on VR. Well guess what: You can now preorder the special LG G5 VR bundle and save $300 in the pr…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/0fd362a5918db2d8d0e6d881d1bc0681.jpgThe FBI withdrew its assault on iPhone encryption after it managed to hack its way into the San Bernardino iPhone. Soon after that, the agency notified other law enforcement officials across the country that it’ll try and help out unlock other iPhones from various criminal investigations. The FBI is yet to tell Apple how it performed the hack, but the Bureau does talk about it with senators. In the meantime, the FBI confirmed that while it may be able to hack some iPhones, the iPhone 6s is impenetrable for the time being. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/d7a25452165a55bdc5b356f1063fa30e.jpgFor the past several years, HTC has been known for three things: Killer hardware, terrible advertising and plummeting sales. When HTC delivered a disappointing flagship phone last year, the bottom really fell out from the company and it seemed to be in a tailspin. In fact, HTC's revenue numbers still look absolutely dreadful and they've shown no indication that they're about to improve anytime soon. That said: If there's a company out there that deserves to get a second chance at success, it's HTC. (more…)http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/9f91f33d7f1d6f89f2fc0798959211dc._.gif …

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/0d7a0e57333d80bb5080916a4c533769.jpgMacs may only account for a fraction of the PC market, but they’re still design and performance benchmarks that Apple competitors try to beat. HP is the latest company to come up with a laptop design that aims to top the Retina MacBook, but Apple is also expected to launch 2016 MacBooks that’ll be slimmer and faster than predecessors. And Samsung is the company that may provide some of the critical components required to bump up performance. Similarly, it’s also Samsung that might help Apple make the iPhone 7 even faster than previous models. (more…)http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCac…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/1e38dba453d54caeda61ee5b573f38a1.jpgIf you thought that your Facebook Messenger chats would be free from monetization, think again. It looks like Facebook has begun to roll out an interesting new way to make money off of its wildly popular mobile chat application. While the new strategy doesn't appear to be anywhere near as annoying as some of the advertising and sponsorship schemes we've seen in rival chat apps, feelings will undoubtedly be mixed if and when this new feature begins rolling out to users en masse. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/d5e13d50438f67b051e1c267bba6f9e3.jpgEarlier this week, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that sales for Apple's new iPhone SE were off to a "lackluster" start. While Ming-Chi Kuo is one of the top Apple analysts around, he might not be right about this particular piece of information. AppleInsider points out that the new iPhone is completely sold out in many stores and shipping times for orders of the device have been pushed back to at least a couple of weeks. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/e1c0fb6141d4ea7b845bd1a121eabf07.jpg When Amazon started as an online bookstore however many years ago, did anyone ever think it would one day become the biggest online retailer in America? No, of course not. And then once Amazon took the throne, did anyone ever think it would branch out into making its own hardware? That's another big fat no, but Amazon's tablets and set-top boxes have become a huge part of the company's strategy. What's more, they offer what might very well offer some of the best values in the business — and that's when they're not even on sale at a discount. For a limited time until April 9, you can get t…

Early adopter picks 5 things the LG G5 does better than the Galaxy S7

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/5261bc8e71e6f5b341c1caac94528c71.pngSamsung set the bar very high for rival Android phone makers this year with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. In fact, other than the usual complaints about Samsung's implementation of Android, it's been very hard to find any glaring flaws in the new devices. All the same, this doesn't mean Samsung has nothing to learn from over smartphone vendors, as you'll see in a new video produced by Android aficionado Jeff Springer where he lists five things the LG G5 does better than Samsung's new flagship phones. What I need to see in the HTC 10
by Guest Ryan Rabea- 0 replies

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/565597ced7c9cbe546ffc46353e66802.jpg HTC isn’t doing too great right now. Last year, the company saw a 35% sales drop year-over-year, forcing its CEO to assure fans that the brand would never go away. This assurance is nice, I suppose, but a company’s main goal is to turn a profit and HTC hasn’t been able to do that for quite some time now. Many point to the underwhelming One M9 as a big reason for the brutal 2015. The phone looked basically identical to its predecessor, and that dastardly overheating Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 scared a lot of potential buyers away. So can the HTC 10 turn around the company’s fortunes? I…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/2997e100aabdc1e738674ce8c1a6c857.jpg On April 5th BlackBerry confirmed that the price for an unlocked Priv smartphone has been reduced. We knew it was coming, it just came a little later than anticipated. The BlackBerry Priv launched with a rather steep price tag of $699. Now consumers can purchase the unlocked device in full retail from BlackBerry for $649. This may not be the price cut everyone was hoping for, but $50 is better than nothing. The $649 reduced price tag is indeed permanent, meaning it will never go back up to $699 and is not just for a limited time. The BlackBerry Priv is still a great buy and was amo…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/6a1d555dce607f3c44dd022c73222d0b.jpegAmidst all the understandable hoopla surrounding the recently unveiled Model 3, Tesla yesterday quietly put out a press release detailing the number of vehicles it delivered to customers during the first quarter of 2016. At the close of the quarter, Tesla reported deliveries of 14,820 cars, a figure which includes the Model S and the Model X. Of that figure, 12,420 deliveries were of the Model S while the Model accounted for 2,400 of the company's quarterly deliveries. The larger takeaway, though, is that Tesla for the quarter missed its delivery goal of 16,000 vehicles. (more…)http://and…

Almost without fail, Oliver's weekly rants on Last Week Tonight - which are equal parts funny and equal parts informative - quickly go viral. Most recently, Oliver directed his attention to a new ticket pricing policy employed by the New York Yankees. Apparently, the Yankees new policy forces fans to purchase tickets via Ticketmaster and also prevents fans from printing up tickets at home. The goal? To help prevent consumers who purchase premium seats from reselling them at bel…

Why it’s exciting that scientists discovered a new state of matter

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/2453e224d799bf3adaa2181e8182ba85.jpgIt might sound boring to most people, but the fact that scientists have finally been able to prove there’s a new state of matter is very exciting, as it could have applications for the future of computing. In short, scientists from the University of Cambridge and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennesse were able to prove that a state of matter theorized some 40 years ago does exist. The new state of matter is known as “quantum spin liquid” and is made of electrons that break into smaller quasiparticles, as Science Alert explains. Today, LG trademarked G5 SE. I think it’s pretty obvious that LG took this idea from a page in Apple’s book. The “SE” in Apple’s new iPhone SE, stands for ‘Special Edition.’ The iPhone SE released back in March and is aimed at the mid-range crowd and those who want a smaller 4-inch smartphone. Earlier today, we noticed the trademark on the KIPRIS website. This caught us as striking because of how fast LG got on top of it. T…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/2be0fdfaff66774ecc3145f98ae0a7bf.jpg Screen protectors literally add another layer of safety to phones. Whether you’re scared of shattering your phone’s display or just want to prevent little hairline scratches, a screen protector is a cheap way to bring in extra protection on top of well-made glass. Although both sides of the Galaxy S7 are made of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to resist damage, many people still want to place a screen protector on their stunning new device. Damaging a $700 phone even in the slightest isn’t quite a pretty thing to experience, especially if you don’t have insurance; a screen protector isn’t a bad id…
