The launch of the G6 back at MWC 2017 represents a return to form for LG, with the Korean handset maker abandoning the unpopular Friends that appeared with the G5. This year, LG is all about rounded edges, the 18:9 aspect ratios, and of course, slim bezels. With that in mind, LG has published an infographic […] Come comment on this article: LG’s infographic about slim bezels tells us what we already know Visit TalkAndroid News via TalkAndroid

Elon Musk shares photos of the first Model 3 off the production line
by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies

Given Tesla's checkered past when it comes to meeting production deadlines, you could be forgiven for thinking that Tesla wouldn't be able to meet its Model 3 production schedule. But in a sign that Tesla has learned from previous mistakes with the Model S and the Model X, the first Model 3 -- as initially promised -- rolled off of the production line this weekend, an event that Tesla CEO Elon Musk celebrated with a pair of tweets. If the latest rumblings from the rumor mill are accurate, it looks like we might have to wait a bit in order to take advantage of one of the iPhone 8's more intriguing new features. According to a tweet published by John Gruber over the weekend, the iPhone 8's wireless charging accessory may not be readily available when the iPhone 8 launches later this year. Continue reading... Tesla’s Model S is far more popular than most other luxury vehicles

Deliveries of Tesla's Model S and Model X during the second quarter of 2017 weren't as strong as some analysts were anticipating, with the company announcing that it delivered 22,000 vehicles over the last three months. The figure was a tad lower than the 25,000 vehicles Tesla delivered during the first quarter of 2017. Still, the 22,000 vehicles Tesla delivered during Q2 marked a 53% increase compared to the same quarter a year-ago, an impressive feat no matter how you look at it. What's more, demand for Tesla vehicles during the quarter remained robust, with the company explaining that a production issue involving its 100 kWh battery packs led to delayed deliveries and …

New Galaxy Note 8 leaked render might be our best look at the phone so far
by Guest Jacob Siegal- 0 replies

Providing Samsung is sticking to the same timetable it had for the Galaxy Note 7, we're probably less than two months from the release of the Galaxy Note 8. If that's the case, the final design has already been decided on and production of the Note 8 is likely gearing up. So while we won't know what the phone definitively looks like until Samsung uncovers it, the recent leaks -- many of which mirror each other almost perfectly -- are probably reasonably close to what the actual phone will look like when it releases in the coming weeks. I have become so reliant on Alexa to help me do just about anything I need to do, that I can't imagine being without Amazon's virtual personal assistant for even a moment. Of course, carrying a speaker around with you isn't always a feasible option, and that's where Martian's line of Alexa-enabled smartwatches come in. Martian's mVoice smartwatches place the powers of Alexa right on your wrist so they're available anywhere and everywhere you might be. There's probably nothing more frustrating for a video game fan than seeing your friends log on to play a game together when you don't own that particular title. Well, begging your buddies to buy you games is about to get a whole lot easier, as long as you have an Xbox One. Microsoft is planning on adding a game gifting feature to the Xbox One store, allowing gaming buddies to send titles to each other in a much more streamlined and efficient way, according to a Twitter post by Xbox vice president Mike Ybarra. Pre-Prime Day deal: Why pay for Dash Buttons when Amazon will pay you instead?
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

We can't state conclusively that Amazon's Dash Buttons are man kind's greatest achievement. That said, we also can't state conclusively that Amazon's Dash Buttons aren't mankind's greatest achievement. These brilliant little buttons can be strategically placed anywhere around your home, and each button corresponds to a different product you use regularly. For example, you might have a Tide button near your washing machine, a Charmin button in the bathroom, a Keurig K-Cup Pods button in the kitchen next to your coffee maker, and a Gatorade button next to your treadmill. Then, when you find yourself running low on the product in question, you just press the Dash Button and …

With iPhone 8 release looming, Apple may become the world’s first trillion-dollar company
by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies

With the iPhone 8 release looming on the horizon, shares of Apple have been rising steadily over the past few months. This past May, for example, Apple's stock hit a new all-time high of $156 per share. While things have settled down a bit since them -- Apple's currently trading in the $145/share range -- some analysts are anticipating that it's only a matter of time before Apple shares soar to even greater heights. In fact, one analyst believes that Apple could very well become the world's first trillion-dollar company in the span of just 12 months. Continue reading... Drone pilots, here’s how to get your refund from the FAA
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
The Federal Aviation Administration has suffered a rather embarrassing U-turn of late, but it's good news for recreational drone pilots. In December 2015, the FAA forced recreational drone pilots to pay the high, high price of $5 to register all recreational drones. But that didn't sit will with some model aircraft enthusiasts, one of whom brought a case to court, claiming that the FAA had overstepped its bounds. The DC court of appeals agreed, and the FAA's drone registration rules were struck down. Excitingly, that means that all 770,000 people who registered their drones and paid the fee are now due some money back. Continue reading... Trending right now: …

The Nintendo Switch can be Prime shipped from Amazon right now – if you’re willing to pay

The good news: move quickly and you can get either a Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con or a Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Con Prime shipped to your door in two days for free. The bad news: only third-party sellers have it in stock right now, not Amazon, which means you’ll have to pay a premium. If you’ve been dying to get your hands on a Switch though, this is probably your best opportunity since supply shortages are expected to persist until next year. Here are some key details from the product page: Introducing Nintendo Switch, the new home video game system from Nintendo. In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Ni…

HURRY: Prime Day just started early with an insane deal on the Amazon Echo
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

Woh, woh, woh... what exactly is going on here, Amazon? Prime Day 2017 isn't supposed to start until 9:00 PM ET on Monday, and yet here we are on Saturday looking at one of the craziest deals we've ever seen! Amazon typically sells refurbished Amazon Echo smart speakers for $135, which is a nice discount compared to the $180 the retailer charges for a new Echo. Then, every once in a while, the price might drop under $130 and that's a great time to grab one. Right now, however, Amazon has an insane deal for Prime subscribers that drops the price of the refurbished Amazon Echo speaker all the way down to $89.99. You read that correctly — $89.99! This price is good on Sat…

Celebrity culture in America turns people like Mackelmore into idols, but rarely pays any attention to the loving and supportive families that surround them. In a new music video for his new single Glorious, Macklemore — whose real name is Benjamin Haggerty — celebrates his grandmother Helen in the best way anyone could: by taking her out for a full day where anything she wants, she gets. It's amazing. Continue reading... New Galaxy Note 8 case leak highlights the phone’s biggest flaw
by Guest Jacob Siegal- 0 replies

Smartphone leaks aren't always accurate. In fact, in the months leading up to the launch of a highly anticipated new phone, we'll often see dozens of leaked designs, all with their own unique quirks and features. Of course, not all of them can be legitimate, but as the launch draws nearer, the leaks often begin to amalgamate with one another, giving us a more complete, comprehensible picture. That seems to be exactly what is happening with the Galaxy Note 8, as a new case leak from this week appears to showcase the same design we've seen before, including in our own exclusive leak. How to add cable service to a second TV without paying for another box
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies
How much do you pay for cable TV service? $60? $80? Over $100? There's nothing wrong with subscribing to pay TV despite how popular cord cutting is right now. But if you're going to pay an arm and a leg for live TV, you should at least cut down on your unnecessary related expenses. First, buy your own cable modem and return your old one to your cable company. That alone will save you $100-$120 per year. Then, if there's a TV in your house that you only use occasionally, return your leased cable box and buy a Nyrius 5.8GHz 4 Channel Wireless Video Transmitter & Receiver. It'll beam your cable up to 225 feet from one TV to another, and the remote extender lets you chang…

Yet another wireless carrier has launched a good unlimited plan
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
"Unlimited" data plans are all the rage this year. After T-Mobile debuted its mostly-unlimited One plan to a ton of splash last year, Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T all followed suit, and we're now at the point where every major network has some kind of unlimited plan available. But if you're a shrewd little shopper, you will hopefully have realized by now that there's far more than four places to buy your wireless service. Mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) are third-party companies that resell the Big Four's service, often for cheaper. Credo Wireless, one of the more intriguing MVNOs, has just rolled out an unlimited plan that's worth a look. Continue reading…

OnePlus now blames your eyes for the OnePlus 5 screen issue it can’t fix
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies
It’s not enough for OnePlus to copy the iPhone 7 Plus’s design -- on its own, a decision that may explain the OnePlus 5 screen issue it won’t properly acknowledge or fix, but it looks like the company is also copying Steve Jobs’s way of dealing with an iPhone flaw. Jobs famously said that you’re probably “holding it wrong,” and that excuse went viral. He was trying to explain why the iPhone 4 would lose cellular signal when held in a certain way. That was the Antennagate scandal that haunted Apple in the months after the phone's introduction. Fast forward to 2017, and OnePlus now claims that your eyes are to blame for the OnePlus 5 jelly effect while scrolling. Cont…

Scientists are sending a probe to Mercury in an attempt to solve a mystery
by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and even Uranus are getting lots of attention these days, with probes and rovers getting up close and personal with our planetary neighbors, but if we look in the other direction — towards the sun, rather than away from it — we find a planet that is just as interesting, and perhaps even more mysterious: Mercury. Now, a joint partnership between the European Space Agency and Japanese space program Jaxa will see a new probe launched to the tiny planet in the hopes of solving a very curious anomaly.
