http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/65b198c10686ac34dc3bf5390c875889.jpeg Microsoft's retail stores don't typically generate the same crowds as Apple stores but that doesn't mean you shouldn't check them out, especially if you're in the market for a new PC. The Wall Street Journal's Joanna Stern points out that buying a PC at a Microsoft store means that it will come without one of the most annoying problems that has long plagued PC users: OEM bloatware. However, graphic designer Michael Tyznik has come up with a unique, and very interesting, subway and rail map, which may be the best you’ve ever seen so far. Too bad public transportation isn't actually possible in that particular location, at least not as the designer imagined it. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/7a85ddb53a3377397bd0852b12ed1508.png AT&T has officially announced the LG G Vista will be coming to the network on August 22nd, which is not a surprise given the previously leaked manual for the device. AT&T will join Verizon in offering the LG G Vista. The device gains some screen real estate via a 5.7-inch display versus the 5.5-inch display of the LG G3. In gaining that extra size, LG toned down some of the other specs, like a resolution that is only 720p, an 8 MP rear camera, a Snapdragon 400 processor and only 1.5 GB of RAM. Nothing top of the line there, but it should still be a capable smartphone for those loo…

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/1754ed9b2cdd1f68ebb4b7b2a675980b.png Consistent with their goal of making things easier for customers, T-Mobile has developed an app that users can run to unlock their devices when their contract is up or to temporarily unlock the device when traveling abroad. The biggest downside at present is that only a few customers can actually use the Device Unlock app – those who have a Samsung Galaxy Avant. Still, it is good to see T-Mobile making this move. As customers look at T-Mobile to figure out who may eventually benefit from this app, there is more good news. T-Mobile is making it available through Google Play. Presumably,…

The company appears to be ready to enter the market to compete in the large smartphone category, especially the stylus-equipped segment, with the Pop Up Note. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/9da29a9247813fed2b10cd9f7d49f572.jpg Google will not be alone in its quest to design an encrypted email system. Yahoo has announced it will be joining Google in doing so. The encrypted email system would be ready sometime next year and act as an optional, not mandatory, feature for users. Both companies would be able to bring privacy their more than 500 million combined users, a subject that has long been in question. While the content of messages would gain protection, other pieces will not be included with the upcoming encrypted email system. Data attached to the sender and receiver as well as the subject line are still …

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/bf330c92614cef572a8eb82a30d9b4ca.jpg FCC chairman Tom Wheeler is not impressed with Verizon's reason for throttling users' LTE data speeds even though they supposedly have grandfathered "unlimited" data plans. Per The Hill, Wheeler ripped into Verizon's response from earlier this week in which the carrier said that it was justified in throttling customers' "unlimited" data because, hey, everyone other carrier is doing the same thing. By adding in both of these languages, Fleksy opens itself up to be much more competitive in an international market, especially China’s rapidly growing smartphone market. If you use Fleksy in any other language, these new languages might not be such a big deal, so to make up for it Fleksy has added four new premium themes for the keyboard. The four themes, Key Lime, Sunflower, Sun Kiss, and Blood Red, all look pretty much like what you would expect from the…
