In addition to a high-resolution 2K display, the LG G3 may have other interesting features including a metal back cover as well as a removable battery. Well known leaker @evleaks posted two new G3 images on his website, one showing the supposed metal back cover of the handset, and one revealing the removable battery in the device. However, it’s still not clear whether the phone will have microSD support. Continue reading... Via BRG - Boy Genius Report

Scientists may have just solved one of life’s biggest mysteries: Why yawning is contagious
by Guest Brad Reed- 0 replies
Life is filled with little mysteries, one of which is why we're more likely to yawn when others around us . However, new research from the University of Vienna suggests that group yawning is actually a survival mechanism that has the side effect of cooling off our brains, which in turn makes us more alert and less likely to doze off. Galaxy S 5 Prime (project KQ) to be very limited
by Guest Robert Nazarian- 0 replies
In very unsurprising news, Korean media is reporting that the Galaxy S 5 Prime will be very limited due to high costs for the QHD (2560 x 1440) OLED panels. I think it’s more about the fact that they won’t be able to produce all that many, which is why they nixed it for the Galaxy S 5. With the upcoming LG G3 expected to also have a QHD display, it begs the question of why LG isn’t having any issues with production? It’s awfully similar to the Galaxy Round and G Flex situation. The Galaxy Round was very limited, while the G Flex was launched worldwide. LG seems to be holding all the cards when it comes to display panels, so Samsung needs to watch their back. Anywa…

Here are the rumored specs for the HTC One (M8) Prime
by Guest Robert Nazarian- 0 replies
Last week we got word that HTC was working on a “Prime” version of the One (M8), sporting the codename M8 Prime. The specs leaked today, and as expected, this should be a pretty decent phone. The M8 Prime will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 (APQ8084), 3 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and Qualcomm’s latest MDM9x35 multimode modem. This new modem is built on the 20 nm technology and supports global carrier aggregation deployments providing download speeds of 300 Mbps. What about the camera(s)? The M8 Prime will sport the Duo Camera setup, but the rumor seems a little odd. Supposedly it will sport a 5MP Ultra Pixel main ca…

Here’s what the Pink HTC One (M8) looks like
by Guest Robert Nazarian- 0 replies
Listen up Hello Kitty fans!! The HTC One (M8) is going to be available in pink and here’s what it looks like. Now I have zero interest in a pink phone, but the HTC One (M8) looks good in any color doesn’t it? No word on when this one will be available, but I suspect there will be carrier exclusives. If pink isn’t your thing, it’s rumored they will launch red and blue ones as well. I am thinking we will see leaked images of those devices later today or tomorrow. source: evleaks Come comment on this article: Here’s what the Pink HTC One (M8) looks like Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more! LG G3 backside leak shows that plastic will be dropped in favor of brushed aluminum
by Guest Justin Herrick- 0 replies

LG may finally be choosing a premium material for a flagship device, much like HTC does with its One (M8). The image above leaked earlier this morning and it is a closeup of the alleged LG G3 donning a metal backside. This would make sense at LG’s invitation for its May 27 event features a brushed aluminum background with an engraved message. Epson is now shipping the Moverio BT-200 Advanced Augmented Reality Smart Glasses
by Guest Robert Nazarian- 0 replies
For those of you that can’t afford Google Glass, you might want to take a look at the Epson Moverio BT-200 Advanced Augmented Reality Smart Glasses. Now don’t go thinking this is a Google Glass competitor because it isn’t designed for your normal everyday activities. As the title states, it’s more of an augmented reality device. Unlike Google Glass, the display shows in both eyes so it’s more suitable for playing games and watching videos. I had a chance to play with it at CES, and I saw some pretty cool games and applications. It’s not only going to be great for the casual consumer, but in many work environments as well. It sports a gyroscope, accelerometer and m…

iPhone 6 phablet may be tough to find when it finally launches
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies
After a recent rumor suggested that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 may be delayed because Apple is facing supply issues related to the phone’s battery, a new report now says that Apple will only manufacture a limited run of the bigger model. G 4 Games has picked up reports from Chinese media via Weibo that say that Apple will only make 10 million iPhone 6 phablets at launch. These iPhones will have a 5.44-inch display covered by Sapphire glass, which may be the reason only a limited number of handsets will be mass-produced. Continue reading... Via BRG - Boy Genius Report

This iPhone 6 concept actually incorporates the mythical ‘iRing’
by Guest Brad Reed- 0 replies
So far, the idea of an Apple-made 'iRing" has existed only in the fevered imagination of Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White, who breathlessly predicted last year Apple would release such a device as its remote control for the similarly mythical "iTV." However, designer SCAVids has decided to give the iRing a tiny amount of life by incorporating it into a new iPhone 6 concept video that imagines using the wearable computer as a perfect complement for iOS 8's upcoming fitness-related features. However, Microsoft may soon launch the Surface mini, as it has scheduled a “small” press event for May 20 in New York City, where it’s supposed to talk about its Surface tablet line, according to The Next Web. Video: Rovio is the latest company to clone Flappy Bird
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

Rovio has soft-launched Retry in Finland, Poland and Canada, Arctic Startup reports. The new game is inspired by the legendary Flappy Bird, although it’s not exactly a copy of the hit mobile game. However, Retry is still an 8-bit side-scrolling game that will invariably remind users of its more popular predecessor, even though it brings some new features to the table. Continue reading... T-Mobile LG G Flex receiving update today; It may or may not be KitKat
by Guest Macky Evangelista- 0 replies
Today T-Mobile is supposedly rolling out the KitKat OTA update for their LG G Flex device. Problem is, is it even KitKat? According to the source link below, it shows Android 4.2.2 as the software. At first I thought it may just be a typo, but the file size is a mere 149MB’s. Seems a little low considering the G2′s KitKat file was about 1.5GB’s in total. Of course, these are just my speculations. Also, it seems users from XDA are reporting that the update has been pulled with no reason given. If you have a T-Mobile G Flex, have you gotten the update notification today? And if so, is it KitKat? source: T-Mobile Come comment on this article: T-Mobile LG G Flex re…

With the HTC Desire 816 selling quite well in China combined with the positive sales and reviews of their HTC One M8 flagship, the expectations that these investors have, could pay dividends in the near future. Hopefully once the Q2 earnings come out, HTC will show their resurgence into the market. Incredible nanogold paint changes color as it responds to touch
by Guest Tero Kuittinen- 0 replies

http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/813fa13fa3deff6429666d672d916d68.jpg Scientists at the University of California have come up with a nifty new way to utilize nanoparticles of gold. A solution of gold particles embedded in a polymer film creates a bright blue color, which turns red after pressure is applied on the film. The color shift correlates with the amount of pressure used — blue turns purple after moderate impact and red with a hard hit. This nuanced response yields information about different pressure levels the gold film encounters. The possibilities seem limitless, from sports to scientific studies to fashion. Continue reading...
