With Orders, users can now easily track their online purchases as well as receive notifications of status updates regarding the shipping and delivery of their purchases. In addition, you can view receipts of your past online past purchases. Google said it will fetch the receipts you receive in your Gmail in order to find out the orders that you’ve made online. Once you activate Orders in Google Wallet, you’ll be able to see any receipts sent to your Gmail right in the Google Wallet app. We’ve also worked with primary package carrier…

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 passes through FCC
by Guest Aditya Thawardas- 0 replies
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 has been rumored for quite a while now, but we haven’t had any formidable evidence of its existence until now. Today, the 10.1 inch LTE tablet has passed through the FCC certification process, hinting at a launch soon. Benchmarking site GFX Bench has information that suggests a 10.6 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 3 megapixel camera on the back and a quad core Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.2 GHz. The 10.6 inch display may be a typo, as Samsung tablets usually feature a 10.1 inch display. In addition, the device will have Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat and other hardware features like 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage…

by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

Even though many Android flagship devices pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that comes with built-in support for always-on voice-based features, they don’t actually take advantage of the feature to offer customers some Moto X-like features. But the upcoming OnePlus One smartphone will apparently come with always-on listening capabilities out of the box, the company revealed on its forums. Continue reading... Via BRG - Boy Genius Report

Android OEMs to likely cash in on Apple’s 64-bit ‘marketing gimmick’
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies
A new note from ABI Research reveals that 64-bit mobile processors will dominate the mobile landscape by 2018, when such processors will grab 55% of the market. Criticized when Apple first unveiled it, and deemed to be nothing else than a "marketing gimmick" by Qualcomm – until the company later rescinded those comments – the A7 chip inside the iPhone 5s and iPad Air is only the first of a plethora of 64-bit mobile chips that will power devices off all shapes and sizes in the coming years. It's no surprise that the Angry Birds craze is far from over, but the latest entry in the popular mobile franchise might be the biggest departure yet for Rovio. Angry Birds Epic is a turn-based RPG, and although details are scarce, we can assume that means we'll see plenty of interchangeable characters, random battles and upgradeable stats. According to Kotaku, crafting will also play a large role in the game. Players will be able to purchase materials with in-game currency or real money to craft equipment for their characters. The game will soft launch on the App Store in Canada and Australia later this week, with "other countries to follow." Check out the teaser trailer…

Last month, Amazon held talks with a large number of record labels in order to start its own music streaming service like Spotify, Beats etc. According to The Wall Street Journal, the company has talked with major record labels and music publishers to license their musics for the upcoming streaming service. The company is looking to provide music streaming service to its Amazon Prime program customers who pay $79 per year for free two-day shipping and Amazon’s video-streaming service. However, according to the journal, Amazon might limit how many times a person can listen to a song. After a few replays of a song, Amazon would ask the user to buy the music if he/she lik…

With such a frequency of leaks related to the All New HTC One, nothing will be left to look forward to by the time of the announcement of the handset. We saw a plethora of leaks related to the All New HTC One’s dual cameras, body, accessories and even an amazing special flip cover. Now, a new set of leaked images have surfaced online showing off the All New HTC One with Verizon’s mark branded on the rear of the device. Granted, the images are of a dummy unit, but you wouldn’t know it unless someone told you. Although HTC might have something more up its sleeves, it seems that nothing else is left that will catch our attention considering that we also saw the new fli…

New HTC One (M8) shows up on eBay with retail box and it’s not called what you think it is
by Guest Robert Nazarian- 0 replies
Ever since it was leaked that HTC was going to refer their new flagship (the M8) as the “All New HTC One,” everyone jumped on it like it was going to be the official name. There was no way HTC was going to make the actual official name the “All New HTC One,” but they will refer to it as such because, yes, it literally is the “All New HTC One” isn’t it? HTC will indeed call their new flagship the same name as last year, which is the HTC One. How do we know this? Well the said phone showed up on eBay, and the retail box was shown (Verizon version). Nowhere on the box will you find, “All New HTC One.” Instead, you will see “HTC One,” just like last year. So the media an…

Here is a video explaining what Samsung’s ISOCELL camera technology is
by Guest Robert Nazarian- 0 replies
Back in September 2013, Samsung announced ISOCELL, which is an advanced pixel technology for smartphones and tablets. As expected, the Galaxy S 5 will feature ISOCELL, and will hopefully improve the quality of photos dramatically. We explained how ICOCELL works when it was announced, but sometimes a video explaining it is a little easier. ISOCELL tries to achieve what every other manufacturer tries to achieve, and that is better low light performance. “ISOCELL pixels decrease crosstalk between neighboring cells by forming minute barriers between neighboring pixels to increase light sensitivity and control electron collection resulting in higher color fidelity, even in …

LEAK: Confirmed -- this will be the most gorgeous Android phone the world has ever seen
by Guest Zach Epstein- 0 replies

The gorgeous device you see pictured above is not The All New HTC One, but it does provide our best look yet at HTC's upcoming new flagship smartphone for 2014. How does that make sense? It's actually a dummy — an exact replica modeled after the real device that is used in display arrangements in retail shops. EBay France seller dummy_store has managed to get its hands on the model ahead of The All New HTC One's launch, and its photos give us the clearest look yet at HTC's upcoming hero phone. Google has apparently purchased parts of Green Throttle Games, a company briefly known for its Android-based Atlas gaming controller and accessories that could offer Android gameplay on the TV. The tech giant apparently plans to include gaming features in its upcoming set-top TV box, PandoDaily reveals. It’s not clear how much Google paid for the company, and strangely, only two of the company’s co-founders will be working for Google moving forward. But Google did confirm the deal. What if Samsung launched a smartphone constructed from thin but sturdy aluminum instead of cheap-feeling plastic? What if that sleek metal smartphone also featured a design that was unique and interesting instead of the same old bland slab design? Such is the vision of graphic designer Ivo Maric, who recently created a concept render of the "Galaxy F," a premium Samsung smartphone that has been rumored to be in development since the middle of last year. Why our politicians won’t lift a finger to stop the Comcast-TWC merger
by Guest Brad Reed- 0 replies

Lots of people hate the idea of letting Comcast and Time Warner Cable merge but don't expect our esteemed elected officials to care. Politico documents how Comcast really does have all its bases covered in the Capitol when it comes to making campaign contributions to influential members of Congress. In fact, Politico's examination of public records reveals that Comcast has donated money to "almost every member of Congress who has a hand in regulating it," including "all but three members of the Senate Judiciary Committee" and "32 of the 39 members of the House Judiciary Committee." In all, Politico says Comcast has already spent $2 million for this year's campaign cycle a…

Google buys Green Throttle Games in quest to develop set top box
by Guest Christian de Looper- 0 replies

According to recent reports, Google has acquired Green Throttle Games and aims to use the parts and labor of the company in their quest to develop a set top box. Google has confirmed the reports, but no specifics about the deal have been released. Green Throttle Games was founded in 2012 with the goal of creating a seamless gaming experience on Android devices. The company soon released an “Atlas” game controller that connects to Android devices via Bluetooth. Reports of a Google set top box have been making the rounds for a while now, so these reports do make sense. If Google does in fact make gaming a selling point of their set top box, they would definitely have …

OnePlus One will feature a 5.5-inch screen in a 5-inch body smaller than Sony’s Xperia Z1
by Guest Jared Peters- 0 replies
That’s a picture of Sony’s Xperia Z1, which is a great phone. The important thing, though, is that there’s a OnePlus One below it. According to a recent announcement on their forums, OnePlus has chosen a 5.5-inch screen to be used in their upcoming device, but thanks to some some really crafty engineering (and probably magic) they’ve managed to cram a phablet sized screen into a phone that would normally sport a 5-inch screen, like the Xperia Z1. This device will likely have one of the best screen-to-bezel ratios on any phone once it’s released. Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus, also divulged some of the tech that’s going into the screen. It’ll be a full 1080p screen, n…
