Did T-Mobile just leak video of the LG V30 in the wild?
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
Earlier today, T-Mobile lit up its new 600MHz network in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Over the next year, 600MHz is going to make T-Mobile's network way better, but right now, no phone on sale can use the frequency. So to demonstrate the new network, T-Mobile had to use an unreleased device that will be compatible with its new network. T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray already confirmed that Samsung and LG will both have 600MHz-compatible devices on sale by the end of the year, and based on highly scientific forensic analysis of the video clip, all signs point to an LG device. This is not a drill: Amazon has Apple AirPods listed at MSRP for the first time ever
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this is not a drill. Amazon has had Apple AirPods listed for sale numerous times before, but they were always sold at a premium. For people who wanted them in hand in a matter of days instead of four to six weeks, Amazon was a fine option. But not everyone wants to pay a premium even though Apple's shipping quotes are still crazy. Well, it's time to have your cake and eat it too. For the first time ever, Amazon has AirPods available for purchase at their list price of $160. The AirPods page lists them as being in stock on August 24th with free Prime shipping, which means Prime members who order them right now will have them delivered …

These might be the Game of Thrones characters who don’t die
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies
If there’s one thing that's certain in Game of Thrones, it's that nobody is safe. Without any notice, one of your favorite characters will die and the show will just move forward. That’s how HBO does it, but only because that’s what George R. R. Martin has cooked up. Take episode 6 from the current season. We know some of our favorite heroes go beyond the wall, and there’s a theory that a particular bastard will not make it to episode 7. Martin, who’s yet to catch up with the TV show in his books, had a particular vision laid out for his characters when he began writing the stories. He wanted to save five people fighting for thrones, and it’ll be interesting to see whe…

The iPhone 7s may be bigger than the iPhone 7 in one surprising way
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
Although all the hype is building around the iPhone 8 right now, Apple's actually slated to launch a trio of brand-new phones this fall. The iPhone 8 should be the device to have, provided that you've got MacBook money to burn on a smartphone. For those of us who only have one kidney to sell rather than two, Apple's going to also release an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, with the usual tick-tock upgrades over the iPhone 7. Normally, that means an identical physical design, but a new rumor suggests that the iPhone 7s will have one major departure from the design we've become used to since the iPhone 6. Watch a Galaxy S5 fall 1,000 feet from a plane and land safely
by Guest Jacob Siegal- 0 replies

I've managed to shatter the display on my iPhone 6 twice in the past year after miraculously having never cracked a phone screen before in my life. I dropped it from my pocket on the sidewalk the first time, and the second time it fell off of a nightstand. Discovering how fragile my phone can be makes watching the following video all the more frustrating, as a Galaxy S5 survives a 1,000 foot drop. Continue reading... Android manufacturers are already working out how to copy the iPhone 8’s best feature
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies
Compared to previous iPhones, the iPhone 8 will have a variety of brand new features, including a bigger screen at the expense of the home button, wireless charging, and a sophisticated 3D facial recognition system. Of those, the latter is going to be even better and more secure than what’s available on competing smartphones like the Galaxy S8, because Apple will do facial recognition differently. However, you can already expect some of next year’s top Android handsets to copy the iPhone 8 in this regard. Continue reading... This is how internet companies raise prices by $50 without anyone noticing
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
We hear a lot about deceptive billing practices and bad customer service in the cable industry, but it's not often we get to see such a carefully masterminded scheme to increase prices without anyone really noticing. Over the last few months, Cox has pushed a one-terabyte data cap to customers in the majority of states it serves, including Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, Arizona, Louisiana, Nevada, and Oklahoma. Now, just a couple months after bumping customers from an unlimited service to one that's metered, Cox is introducing a "new" unlimited broadband add-on, which costs $50 on top of the basic plan. How to get the iPhone 8’s best new feature on any iPhone right now for $20
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

The iPhone 8’s new dual-lens vertical camera sounds pretty cool. The OLED display is going to be gorgeous. And using "Face ID" to unlock your phone instead of Touch ID could be great if it works as well as everyone thinks it will. But there’s one long-overdue feature on Apple’s iPhone 8 that has us more excited than anything else. Seriously, it’s 2017… why on Earth does anyone still need to plug in a smartphone to charge it. Of course, you don’t need to wait for Apple’s new iPhone 8 to get wireless charging on your iPhone. Just pick up a Nillkin Magic iPhone 7 Case or a Nillkin Magic iPhone 7 Plus Case on Amazon and you’re good to go. Here are some highlights from the …
