Literally hours after we published a (very long!) list of all the execs who have jumped ship from Uber this year, more bad news landed about Uber's management situation. Benchmark Capital, a venture capital firm that was an early investor in Uber and holds a seat on the board, has sued Travis Kalanick, Uber's founder and recently-ousted CEO. The suit, scooped by Axios, alleges breach of contract and fiduciary duty by Kalanick. The German road transport watchdog has opened an investigation into whether Ford installed an emissions cheat device in the Ford Mondeo sedan, business paper WirtschaftsWoche reported today. The report said that the road transport watchdog has reviewed emissions test data that is consistent with the use of a cheater device. An independent lab will be conduction testing to see if the car does have an emissions test cheat device installed. Neither Ford nor the German agency has yet issued public comment on the matter. As of right now, Uber is a $60 billion company with no CEO, no CFO, and no chief operating officer. Ryan Graves, Uber's first employee who has served as the company's senior vice president of global operations, has stepped down from his role. Uber has had no COO for years, which has left Graves to take on much of the workload that the C-suite exec would normally handle.
