Apple won’t skimp on storage for the iPhone 8
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies

For the last ten years, Apple has had an odd habit of nickel-and-diming customers over the cost of internal storage. Although the flash storage chip inside the iPhone normally costs Apple $20, it's stuck with a base level of 16GB of storage for the longest time, only recently springing for a 32GB base option with the iPhone 7. Once you've loaded up the OS, a couple slo-mo videos and a few Spotify playlists, it still isn't enough for most users. Sure, you can buy iCloud storage for a couple bucks a month, but the more logical solution for Apple would be to have a base option fo 64GB, much like most flagship Android phones. by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

A few weeks ago, Samsung finally explained what caused the Galaxy Note 7 fires and explosions that killed the highly praised phablet soon after it started selling in stores. But the company never said what it planned to do with the huge pile of brand new and briefly used Galaxy Note 7 units that it collected from all over the world when it recalled the failed phone. Unconfirmed reports said that Korean giant might consider reselling a refurbished Galaxy Note 7 after it fixes whatever caused the batteries to catch fire. Now, a fresh rumor out of Asia claims the same thing, potentially revealing more details about Samsung's intentions. Continue reading... Trending rig…

John Oliver perfectly explains to Donald Trump why Putin is bad news

Russia is currently one of Donald Trump’s worst problems, one that the President keeps dismissing as “fake news.” After Michael Flynn’s resignation last week, news broke that high-ranking members of the Trump campaign were in constant contact with former Russian intelligence agents during the campaign. The nature of those talks is unknown to the public, but the intelligence community was disturbed by their great frequency. Yet Trump failed to address his Russia-related criticism, and continue to say that an improved USA-Russia relationship won’t be so bad. That’s pretty much all you need to take with you into the following segment on Last Week Tonight, where John Olive…

I’ve got to admit it, Android Oreo certainly sounds delicious. Even better than Android KitKat, which was Google’s only partnership with a company that makes the kind of desserts that could be associated with a major Android release. Android O will certainly follow Android Nougat later this year. But if you think that Oreo sounds just too good to be true, you may be right. Continue reading...
