by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies

Despite concerns and speculation surrounding the iPhone 8 release date, a new research note from reputed analyst Ming Chi-Kuo claims that the iPhone 8 will, in fact, launch alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus later this fall. In a note obtained by AppleInsider, Kuo writes that Apple, as in years past, will introduce its 2017 iPhone lineup at a special media event in early September. Not too long after, all three devices will launch concurrently, presumably in late September. Continue reading... by Guest Jacob Siegal- 0 replies
- 24 views
It's now been three weeks since hundreds of Pokemon Go players gathered together at Grant Park in Chicago to unlock the game's first Legendary Pokemon: Lugia and Articuno. Since that day, players have been on the hunt for Legendary Raid Battles all around the world, where they have to first defeat the Legendary Pokemon in order to even have a chance to catch them to add to their collection. The only catch is that Legendary Pokemon will rotate in and out of the game every week until midway through this month, and as of last night, Moltres has rotated out and Zapdos has taken its place. Meet the $99 gadget that converts your MacBook Air into a touchscreen laptop
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

Apple fans, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is if Apple hasn’t already made a touchscreen laptop by now, there’s a pretty good chance that Apple will never make one. For whatever reason, it’s just not going to happen. But the good news is that you might already have a MacBook laptop that can instantly be transformed into a touchscreen Apple laptop. The AirBar by Neonode is a slender $99 gadget that attaches to your 13-inch MacBook Air just beneath the display. Then it uses a special patented infrared system to give you complete touch controls, allowing you to poke, swipe, scroll, double-tap, pinch to zoom, or do whatever else you want to do to manipulate the …

New leaks shows off the iPhone 8 color that will replace Jet Black
by Guest Zach Epstein- 0 replies
Rest in peace, Jet Black. Apple decided to use the same iPhone design for a third consecutive year in 2016, so the company had to find other ways to differentiate the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. After all, if the phones only sported better internals and other iterative upgrades, why would any iPhone 6s or 6s Plus owners upgrade? Apple slapped a nifty new dual-lens camera on the back of the iPhone 7 Plus and doubled the storage capacity of each model, but it also added two new colors to its iPhone lineup. Matte black would replace Space Gray, and a second new "Jet Black" finish would be introduced. Since the 2017 iPhone lineup isn't made of aluminum, Apple obviously …

Samsung integrates Bixby and LinkedIn on the Galaxy S8
by Guest Jared Peters- 0 replies

Bixby got off to a rough start. When Samsung announced the virtual assistant, it seemed like a pretty intuitive, powerful feature of the Galaxy S8 that could integrate with third-party services better than other AI assistants. Then the phones launched with a half-baked Bixby, and Samsung has been fighting with developers trying to remap the […] Come comment on this article: Samsung integrates Bixby and LinkedIn on the Galaxy S8 Visit TalkAndroid News via TalkAndroid

by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

Comparing modern technology to the future predicted by Philip K Dick's sci-fi short story — and eventual 2002 feature film — Minority Report is getting easier by the day. Some of Dick's predictions, like the broad implementation of biometric scanning systems and driverless cars, are already here, but the film's big future tech hook of predictive crime stopping has been a slower burn here in reality. Now, Chicago police using cutting-edge predictive algorithms to curb violent crime have proven that knowing where shootings are going to occur, and who will be involved, is actually possible, and it's having a dramatic impact on the murder rate. Some Apple employees are furious about the company’s new spaceship campus
by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies

After years of planning, Apple recently started moving into its gargantuan $5 billion spaceship campus. An imposing and impressive structure to say the least, the outside of the building is comprised of more than 3,000 curved panels of glass which had to be custom-made and specifically engineered for the building. Designed to run on 100% renewable energy, Apple's massive new headquarters features a number of interesting architectural quirks that will ostensibly make the 12,000 employees that work there more productive and more likely to collaborate with colleagues. All the crazy iPhone 8 and iPhone 7s rumors you missed this past weekend
by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies

During an appearance at the D10 conference in 2012, Tim Cook famously promised to double down on product secrecy. Frustrated by an onslaught of iPhone and iPad leaks at the time, Cook vowed that Apple would implement a series of measures designed to keep upcoming Apple hardware out of the news cycle. That notwithstanding, the reality is that Apple has to rely on manufacturing partners in order to bring its products to market, and in turn, there's only so much Apple can do to keep iPhone rumors from leaking out. This year, the product leaks involving Apple's 2017 iPhone lineup have been particularly illuminating, if not downright endless. Though Apple won't officially u…
