Here’s what to do if you missed out on preordering the Nintendo Switch
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

Everyone knew that the Nintendo Switch was hotly anticipated, but we're not sure people fully appreciated how badly Nintendo fans want to get their hands on the next-generation console. The Wii U's failure left a gaping hole in gamers' hearts and now the Switch is here to fill it. Nintendo still has a lot to prove, but the company showed off plenty of exciting games during its unveiling event early Friday morning and gamers were impressed. How impressed? Online preorder inventory sold out in a matter of hours. If you want to get your hands on a Nintendo Switch on launch day, March 3, the bad news is it's no longer as easy as placing a simple preorder. But the good news…

Every single Apple TV owner needs this accessory

The Apple TV is, without question, one of the best media streaming devices in the world. It supports nearly all of the top streaming apps out there, and now the latest version also supports Sir, which completely changes the viewing experience for the better. We love voice search and being able to say things like "what did he say?" for a quick rewind, or "skip ahead two minutes" instead of fumbling around with a traditional remote. There is one thing about the Apple TV’s design that’s pretty annoying, however: the box is so tiny and light that it always seems to shift around. In fact, a heavy HDMI cable can pull it right off of your entertainment center. Luckily there’s…

DirecTV Now is seriously broken
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies

AT&T's streaming service is off to a rough start. After the initial launch giddiness, the service has had major service problems including crashing apps, apps not loading, the wrong channels being shown in regions, and the much-vaunted 72-hour rewind service not functioning at all. To top things off, an Apple TV update last night that was supposed to fix bugs seems to have broken the Apple TV service for everyone. As you'd expect, AT&T's customer service is dealing with this super well. Continue reading... Tesla removes Autopilot speed limit after users whine on Twitter
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies

Tesla has rolled out a software update for its cars that removes a speed limit on Autopilot mode. Since a previous update, which was unveiled shortly before Christmas, drivers had been forced to travel at the posted speed limit when in Autopilot mode on non-divided roads. Prior to that update, Autopilot let you cruise at 5mph over the posted speed limit, more in line with how people actually drive on the highway. Continue reading... Companies like Lyft and Uber are still younglings in the business world, so it should be no surprise to see losses racking up while they try to establish themselves and prove their idea makes sense. That is certainly the case for Lyft which is not projecting profit until 2018. Astronomers just discovered a ‘Hot Jupiter,’ and it’s absolutely massive
by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

Jupiter is the undisputed big dog in our solar system. It's so huge that even if you took all the other planets in our solar system and combined them, Jupiter would still be two-and-a-half times bigger than that. So when astronomers announce that they've discovered a planet that's a whopping 66 percent more massive than Jupiter, you have an idea of just how huge that is. But what's particularly interesting about the newly-discovered alien world named "TAP 26 b" is that it's not a frigid ball of gas like our Jupiter; it's boiling hot. Continue reading... by Guest Zach Epstein- 0 replies

Earlier this week, BGR exclusively gave the world what could be its very first look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone. The hotly anticipated handset was rendered by a third-party case manufacturer. According to a source, the handset pictured in that render was based on information that came straight from the factories that are building Samsung's upcoming new flagship phones. While nothing is confirmed until the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 edge (if that's what it ends up being called) are unveiled on stage by Samsung, that image could very well have been our first look at the phone. The following day, several additional renders were published that showed…

Check out the Noot Clear Hard Back with Soft TPU Gel Bumper for the Google Pixel or the Google Pixel XL. Both versions are on sale for $3 with free Prime shipping right now, but only if you hurry. Nintendo stock takes a hit after awkward Switch unveiling
by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

Nintendo spent a big chunk of the past day explaining to everyone why its new mobile console hybrid, the Switch, is going to be great. Apparently investors haven't quite gotten the message, because the company's stock price has had a hard time keeping itself level. As of this writing, Nintendo's stock on Japan's Tokyo Stock Exchange is down almost 6%, or about 1,450 yen. Continue reading... Stephen Colbert has a hilarious take on the unverified Trump report
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

Three major events took place this week involving presidents. Barack Obama delivered a heartfelt farewell speech a day before Donald Trump’s first scheduled press conference in months, and if that wasn’t enough to keep you busy, an unverified intelligence report about Trump came out just as Obama delivered his speech, alleging that the President-elect has deep ties with Russia. That unexpected report set the tone for the entire news cycle, and Stephen Colbert also focused on it in a hilarious monologue on Wednesday night. Continue reading... This might be the Nokia flagship that’ll take on the iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

The first brand new Nokia phone was announced only a few days ago, but the Nokia 6 (above) isn’t the kind of flagship device that you’d expect to take on the iPhone 8 and the Galaxy S8 this year. Instead, the Nokia 6 is an affordable handset that targets the Chinese market. However, HMD is working on a few additional Nokia handsets that are supposed to be unveiled later this year, and the company may soon launch a Nokia 8 flagship to compete against Apple’s and Samsung’s incoming flagships.
