by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

With the immense wealth of the region, Dubai has quickly become one of the hottest places for companies to test out their newest, wildest future tech. It wasn't long ago that Dubai announced its plans to get flying taxis off the ground by the end of July, so it's quite fitting that robotic police — yes, actual autonomous police robots — will soon be patrolling the bustling city as well. What a time to be alive. Continue reading... Samsung is investing billions in manufacturing plants for the next iPhones

When you think of Samsung and smartphones, chances are you're imagining the Galaxy S8 or a gently smoldering Galaxy Note 7. But as well as making its own smartphones, Samsung is also a significant supplier of components to its rival, including Apple. Since there's only a couple months left until the iPhone 8 is made official, we already have a good idea that Samsung is going to have a hand in supplying OLED panels for Apple's latest and greatest. But according to a new supply chain rumor, Samsung isn't going to stop there. Continue reading... Pacific coastline flooded with ‘sea pickles’
by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

There's lots of curious creatures in the world's oceans — and we got a stunning glimpse at some of the most mysterious ones very recently — but most of the time they keep to themselves, zipping around the depths or floating listlessly on the sea floor. Now, beaches along the Pacific coast are being invaded with a curious creature that, while harmless, is creating something of a scene. They're "sea pickles," and they're definitely not what you want to see when you're about to soak up some sun on the sand. Continue reading... I wonder why Samsung’s working so hard on non-flammable batteries
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies
The Galaxy Note 7 debacle taught Samsung a thing or two about quality assurance practices, especially for things that can explode. It’s sad that Samsung had to deal with this particular problem after so many years of building smartphones, but at least Samsung learned its lesson. No Galaxy S8 has exploded since the phone’s launch, and it looks like there’s no reason to worry about any Samsung phone going forward. But Samsung isn’t stopping at simply ensuring that existing batteries won’t explode. It’s also working on a type of battery that won’t be able to catch fire even if something bad happens to it. Stephen Colbert has some things to say about Trump’s latest tweets
by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies
In what's become something of an embarrassing national tradition, Donald Trump this week took to Twitter and blasted MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski. In a pair of tweets, Trump called Brzezinski "low I.Q. Crazy Mika" and then later referenced a New Year's Eve meeting where he said "she was bleeding badly from a face-lift." Predictably, Trump's tweets were widely criticized, with even prominent Republicans coming out and stating that Trump's behavior was decidedly un-presidential. Continue reading... You’ll want to look at these new pictures of that gorgeous iPhone 8 design
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies

Earlier this week, notorious iPhone leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer showed off an iPhone 8 CAD mockup in an extensive video. It's one of the first opportunities we've had to examine the next iPhone's likely physical design in detail, and it didn't disappoint. Put simply, this year's iPhone is going to be a looker. Regardless of what it's called, the Next iPhone is going to do what needs to be done in terms of physical design. It looks like a fitting tribute to everything that's come before: the glass front and back of the iPhone 4 combined with the rounded metal chassis of the iPhone 6 design, wrapped up in the new Jet Black finish from the iPhone 7. by Guest Yoni Heisler- 0 replies

The iPhone 8 will be great and all, but it's hard not to be as excited for the impending release of iOS 11. While typical iOS updates offer up a nice selection of system tweaks and new features, iOS 11 may very well prove to be a game-changing update thanks to the introduction of ARKit. Originally unveiled during Apple's WWDC keynote earlier this month, ARKit provides developers with the tools and framework to easily craft immersive -- and sometimes mind-boggling -- augmented reality experiences. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 8 in less than two months, which means we’ll be bombarded by more leaks and rumors in the coming weeks. The phone will be very similar to the Galaxy S8+, so we shouldn’t expect any surprises in terms of design or specs. But the Galaxy Note 8 will have a few exclusive features, including an S Pen stylus and an Isocell Dual camera on the back. The Galaxy Note 8 will have the best camera Samsung ever made. That’s something I could tell you right off the bat, without even looking at rumors and leaks. That’s because Samsung improves the camera experience on its flagship handsets every year, looking to fulfill its longtime dream to beat Apple in every department.
