by Guest Jeff Causey- 0 replies

Back in March, T-Mobile updated their deprioritization limit from 28GB to 30GB. Now, only a couple months later, T-Mobile is making another adjustment to the limit by raising it to 32GB. If you are not familiar with deprioritization, this means T-Mobile may throttle your connection speeds if you have used over 32GB of data in […] Come comment on this article: T-Mobile bumps up deprioritization limit to 32GB Visit TalkAndroid News via TalkAndroid

Verizon iPhone owners, you’d be crazy to turn down this T-Mobile deal
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies

If there's one thing T-Mobile CEO John Legere loves more than gratuitous swearing, it's trolling Verizon's marketing department. T-Mobile's latest deal is a direct challenge to Verizon's customers, as it's making an offer that's difficult to beat: bring an iPhone or Pixel from Verizon to T-Mobile, and the company will pay off any device payments you have left, in full, no questions asked. The offer is valid for any Verizon customers who have had their Verizon contract for at least 60 days, and who have a recent iPhone or Pixel. Specifically, the iPhone SE, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, or 7 Plus are eligible, as are the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. What this means is you can have b…

New iPhone 8 schematic features the iPhone design we want
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

We’re used to seeing plenty of new iPhone leaks at this time of year, and the same goes for the iPhone 8. The device that will mark Apple’s tenth iPhone anniversary is supposed to be something entirely new in terms of design and features, and some reports claim Apple will have to delay the phone's launch due to the sophistication of some of its components. Conflicting reports say that some suppliers are on track with their components that will be found in the next iPhone, and Apple is already preparing to start mass production of its 2017 iPhones. That would explain this new, highly detailed iPhone 8 schematic. Continue reading... Trending right now: Don’t let t…

Five asteroids will cruise by Earth in the next year, and one is coming very close
by Guest Mike Wehner- 0 replies

There's so many cool things to see out in space — from gorgeous views of Jupiter to stunning glimpses of Saturn, and a star that might have aliens hanging out nearby — that it's easy to forget that it's actually a pretty hostile place. We're reminded of that whenever NASA alerts the world that an asteroid is making a close appearance, and a scientists with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory just took some time to break down the next five asteroid flybys that we should all keep our eyes on, including one that might be too close for comfort. What if you could pay a monthly fee and consume as much Xbox One digital content you’d want to? Microsoft already thought of that. It’s called Game Pass, a Netflix-style gaming service that Microsoft announced a few months ago, and which is getting ready for mass consumption. In fact, you can try it right now as long as you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription. Continue reading... World’s thinnest iPhone 7 Plus hard case comes in six colors and costs $10 on Amazon
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

We love the iPhone 7 Plus but as anyone who as ever held one knows all too well, it’s a pretty gigantic phone. It’s also made out of the most slippery aluminum known to man, so you absolutely need a case to protect it from scuffs and scratches. Since the phone is already so large, it’s important to find something nice and thin so that you don’t add even more bulk. If you want something soft, we recommend the Tozo case that everyone knows and loves. If you’d prefer a hard case though, the Humixx Slimshell case is the thinnest hard case on the planet for the iPhone 7 Plus and it comes in six different colors. Here are some key details from the product page: Reinforce…

How Apple might avoid that ugly iPhone 8 design that we all hate
by Guest Chris Smith- 0 replies

It’s a brand new day, which means we have to deal with not one but multiple new iPhone 8 rumors, including one that puts an interesting twist on the new phone's design. Buried in a series of leaks, a tweet indicates the iPhone 8 will have the great design we expect — the one that doesn’t involve hunting for the Touch ID sensor on the back. More importantly, we may have an indication of exactly how Apple will accomplish it. Continue reading... Brilliant portable battery can charge your iPhone and wirelessly charge your Apple Watch
by Guest Maren Estrada- 0 replies

It's funny how karma works. We all spent years complaining about how short the charging cable is that comes with the iPhone. Now, we're all complaining about how long the charging cable is that comes with the Apple Watch. It's obviously great to have more slack to position the charger wherever you want, but it's a pain in the butt to travel with — especially since it's not like Lightning cables, where you have 20 of them lying around. Instead of messing with that crazy cable, check out the UGREEN Portable Magnetic Charger for Apple Watch and iPhone. It can charge your iPhone or iPad using a regular Lightning cord, and it can also wirelessly charge your Apple Watch usin…

New iPhone 8 pictures mean our worst nightmare might be happening
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
If this new series of leaks is correct, Apple could be about to make a huge mistake. The biggest outstanding question about the iPhone 8's design is whether it will have a Touch ID sensor on the rear, or build a fingerprint scanner into the screen itself. Rear-mounted fingerprint sensors, conveniently placed in optimum smudging location next to the camera, are a slap in the face to common sense. Samsung went that route with the Galaxy S8 this year, but a recent series of leaks suggested that Apple had come up with a better solution. Now, we're not so sure. Continue reading... Comcast is playing dirty to try and kill net neutrality
by Guest Chris Mills- 0 replies
Comcast has sent a cease-and-desist order to a pro-net-neutrality website fighting against a proposed FCC rule change, based on an objectively stupid copyright claim. Comcastroturf.com is a website that has been set up to help deal with anti-net-neutrality comments being posted under fake names, and has no ties to Comcast whatsoever, except for the URL. Copyright claims against "domain name squatting" aren't some broad brush that can be used to take down any critical website: they have to fulfil a specific set of criteria, including that the use of a company's name is "likely to cause confusion." Confirming a rumor that originally surfaced earlier this year, Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam recently said that the company plans to launch an over-the-top TV streaming service later this year.
