  1. Looks like of like a more modern-day and slightly more user-friendly version of Omegle. I'm still not sure the premise of random video chatting with strangers will ever work out very well though.
  2. There are plenty. There are a few reliable apps (like JustPlay for example) that will even pay you to play their games. Granted, the rewards are small (we're talking about 20-30p per game you play), but if you're going to be spending the time playing games anyway, why not I guess?
  3. This would be ideal for my nephews and niece if it was released for Android. As it is, I don't have an iPhone anymore, and if I did I probably wouldn't trust them with it anyway given how expensive they are nowadays. 😛
  4. I recently managed to download the newest version of Football Manager Mobile as it comes free with Netflix and I recently resubscribed to give some additional viewing options over Christmas... might end up staying just for the game now, d'oh, they know how to trap me!
  5. Thanks for that - as a completely new person to even considering the development of an app, from your knowledge - would it be pretty simple to build a very basic app that essentially just deployed the browser version of the game inside an app, and is that allowed by Android/Google Play rules? If I recall correctly from a few years ago, Apple would not accept app requests to join the App Store if it was only a basic functioning app like I've described.
  6. I personally use Snapchat for a lot of my own photography needs. Whilst it's obviously not the most suitable option if you need a professional photography app, for everyday use and even for running a small business, the Snapchat camera functions probably have everything you will need. The ability to edit images taken on Snapchat outperforms most other image editors I've ever used, so whilst this probably isn't a typical response, it is genuine. Snapchat really could be an option.
  7. It's always good for community cohesion to have a thread where members can share what music track they're currently listening to! Helps to share music tastes and get/make recommendations to others. 🙂 Here's what I'm listening to right now... I absolutely love this song! What are you listening to?
  8. I'm a newbie/learning coder, and recently began a project to build a text-based browser game. I'm wondering, if in the future this game was good enough to actually go live, and it grew to the point I wanted to make it more mobile friendly and so release an app, are there any tools available that'd make it easy for me to just show my game through a browser but in its own standalone app? Just wondering for the future, would appreciate and looking forward to any replies!
  9. It's definitely so much fun! And one of those kinds of games where you can think "oh I've got 15 mins to kill, I'll have a quick game" and then look at the clock 3 hours later and realise you've burnt the house down and left the kids at school. 🤣
  10. It's unfortunate because I enjoy listening to music so much and want to be able to reliably listen to music on my phone on the way to work. It's not like it's impossible, it's just not convenient and results in a rush and panic to answer the phone if it rings whilst I'm listening. The connection issues seem to be at their worst when I'm having to change to a different set of earbuds... it's just a nightmare. I wish somebody has some ideas for a solution other than buy an iPhone! 😞
  11. One of the very few criticisms I have of Android vs iPhone is audio interface when using earphones. When I used to have an iPhone, I could click a button on my headphones to answer an incoming call... the exact same pair of headphones with my Android phone the click button doesn't answer incoming calls. It's also annoyingly weird trying to pair a new set of bluetooth headphones on an Android... sometimes the pairing just fails for absolutely no reason? Has anybody else experienced any of these issues with Android phones? Any resolutions?
  12. A day seems about right in terms of battery power for most Android phones nowadays. They can't compete with iPhones on battery power, purely on price point most likely. I paid about £100 for my Android phone (granted, refurbished, new it would've been about £250). Compare this with a new iPhone that'll cost me £600 at an absolute minimum for what is essentially double battery life. Having owned both an iPhone and an Android phone, apart from marginally worse performance on my Android (and I'm talking probably milliseconds in terms of app loading speeds etc), I can confidently say I won't buy an iPhone again. Double battery life and a few seconds saved per day isn't enough for me to justify triple the price.
  13. Does anyone else play a game called F1 Manager? If you're a fan of Formula One, this might be the ideal game for you! I've been playing it on and off for a few seasons now, essentially it's a version of FIFA but for Formula One, you complete races to earn crates in which are coins and player/team/item cards that you use to upgrade your drivers, cars and mechanics. Really fun to pass and time and a game I'd highly recommend to any fellow Formula One fans, looking forward to hearing any of your reviews!
  14. Google Drive is my go-to option at all times, seeing as the content can be transferred from device to device and even mobile to PC if you need it. I'm yet to find anything else that works better for me anyway, but I'm open to suggestions also if anybody else has!
  15. Black Friday was disappointing for me this year - I didn't manage to grab any top-end bargains and had to settle for some of the low-hanging fruit. I've found that over the years as Black Friday has become more commercialised, companies have been taking the p**s by hiking up their prices a few weeks before BF then claiming a much larger discount than they're actually really giving. Really peeves me!
