Rockstar Games has dropped an early Christmas present on the Android gaming scene for fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Their Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars title is now available for select Android devices. As part of the development for the Android platform, the game includes support for widescreen resolutions like you might find on many Android devices and it even includes support for Android TV.
For input methods, Rockstar gave Chinatown Wars support for customizable touchscreen controls and compatibility with some Bluetooth and USB controllers. The game includes side-missions, mini-games and a variety of hidden collectibles. Users with good video chips in their mobile devices will find they can enjoy enhanced graphics, lighting and explosion effects.
As far as the storyline goes, the main character is Huang Lee, who starts out on a mission to deliver an ancient sword to his Uncle Kenny after the murder of Lee’s father. Things don’t turn out as expected after Lee is robbed and left to die. The player then gets to take control and guide Lee through Liberty City in the search for honor, riches and revenge.
To get Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, just head over to the Google Play store using one of the links below and be ready to shell out $4.99 if you have a compatible device.
