It’s Sunday, the time of the week when Talk Android brings you a report on some of the very best applications we’ve been using over the course of the past seven days. Today we’re focusing our attention on a fantastic package tracking tool, an awesome mobile shopping service, a great photo manipulation client and last, but not least, a comprehensive recipe database.
UPS Mobile
As the holiday season moves ever closer, it’s a given that most of us will be ordering more items than usual from online retailers and stores. If you’re purchasing gifts from vendors in the United States, it’s more than likely they’ll use UPS as their preferred shipping service, which is awesome news for us as it means we can oversee the delivery process from anywhere.
If you have the UPS Mobile application installed on your handset, you’ll be able to easily manage and organize shipments on the go. Not only will you have the facility to track and nickname packages as well as view where they are in real-time, but you’ll also be able to receive delivery alerts and authorize the driver to leave packages at your home without a signature.
Boxed Wholesale
Boxed Wholesale is the mobile shopping application my friends across the pond have not stopped raving about. The app enables users to order anything from toilet paper to Lucky Charms to have delivered to their home within 24-hours.
As the name suggests, everything comes in bulk. Meaning not only will you be able to save a few dollars by buying things in larger quantities than you usual, but you’ll also keep the cupboards stocked for longer which is great for this time of year.
Registering and checking out with Boxed Wholesale couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is download the application, create an account, add your credit card details and verify your email address, then you’ll be afforded the ability to order goods in just one click.
Perfectly Clear
No matter how good your smartphone’s camera is at some point during its lifetime, it’s going to take a bad picture. And as luck would have it its most likely going to happen in the worst possible situation, for instance, when you’ve just captured that once in a lifetime shot.
Fortunately, Perfectly Clear is on-hand to automatically fix your poor quality snaps. Simply run the low-quality image through the applications software and you’ll be rewarded with a high-quality render, which is worthy of any family photo album.
If you’d prefer to take the reigns yourself and manually make changes to your picture, you have a slew of settings, including noise, color temperature, blur, brightness and exposure to play with.
Allthecooks Recipes
I’ve recently turned my hand to cooking, and as a complete novice I’ve had to rely solely on recipes. That’s how I discovered Allthecooks. This fantastic application is home to over 150,000 user-submitted recipes, which are in my opinion, more often than not, better than those you’ll find from professional TV chefs.
The app itself is incredibly smooth and easy to navigate, which makes it the perfect companion to take to the shops as you can simply scroll through the ingredients list while strolling through the aisles grabbing exactly what you need along the way.
