T-Mobile is currently in the process of rolling out a vital security update to its carrier-branded variants of the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 located in the United States. This upgrade transports a much-needed patch for the incredibly irritating MMS bug found present on a number of smartphones running Lollipop, along with several bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.
The full changelog can be seen below:
- The security of your device has been improved.
- Device stability improvements, bug fixes.
- New and / or enhanced features.
- Further improvements to performance.
As is the norm, this update is being distributed in stages. To see if it’s ready for your device head into Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap on “About Device”, hit “System Updates”, then select “Check for updates”. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive a push notification prompting you to install the update.
