AT&T revealed today that it will be making an announcement on January 6 detailing changes it will be making to its prepaid plans.
These aren’t necessarily bad changes either. Initial reports are saying that the $60 GoPhone prepaid tier will be bumped up to 5GB of high-speed data. It was originally only 4GB. The $45 GoPhone prepaid tier will see a similar change, getting a bump to 2GB of high-speed data from the previous 1.5GB.
More data is a welcome change, and certainly makes the plans feel like consumers are getting more value out of them. However, Droid-Life is reporting that the $0.10 per minute talk plan will be seeing a significant increase to $0.25 per minute.
Expect to hear something more official from AT&T tomorrow.
