Following its unveiling back in August 2015, ASUS has today launched the mid-range ZenFone Max in India. The handset is available to purchase through independent online retailers Flipkart and Amazon in both black and white colorways for INR 9,999 ($150). Units are expected to leave the warehouse within 24-hours of orders being placed — so if you purchase one today, you should have it in your hands by Monday, January 18.
The ZenFone Max won’t blow your socks off in the performance department, but it does feature a huge 5,000mAh battery that should get you through at least two days of intermediate usage. Other notable specifications include a large 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8/16GB of expandable internal memory, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
The handset bundles support for tri-band LTE and has dual micro-SIM slots on board. There’s also compatibility for Bluetooth Class 1 (Version 4.0, LE+EDR), 802.11b/802.11g/802.11n Wi-Fi (dual-band), NFC and GPS.
If you’re based in India, like the sound of the ZenFone Max and want to find out more about picking one up — hit one of the two links below.
