Oppo unveiled the Oppo F1 earlier this month as part of its F-series. Pre-orders are now live on the company’s website.
The Oppo F1 is now available for pre-order in the European territory for €229 or approx $250 USD. Oppo plans to ship out all orders by the end of February. As a special gift, Oppo is offering those who purchase the device between now and launch a free selfie stick. However, users must pay an additional €5 at checkout to reserve it. So it’s not exactly free, but you’ll save a few bucks.
The Oppo F1 features mid to low-end specifications starting off with a 5-inch display containing a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with eight cores that can run simultaneously. The device also has 3GB of RAM for multitasking.
On the front you’ll find an 8MP camera that can take some great low-light shots. The back side houses a 13MP camera, which will be great for taking detailed shots. 16GB of storage space comes inside but more can be added via the device’s built-in microSD card slot. Onboard is Color OS 2.1, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Some other key specs include a sealed 2400mAh battery, LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, and dual SIM support. But perhaps the greatest feature lies in the design department. The Oppo F1 sports a metal body with a sand coating for better gripping. It looks really nice and comes in a variety of colors.
There’s still a chance at a U.S. rollout, but nothing has been confirmed. Stay tuned for an announcement; we should hear more about the company’s plans any day now. Who’s interested?
