If you cast your mind back to November of last year, you may recall that Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo launched its first two high-end devices, the X6 and X6 Plus. Now, just two months on, it looks like the company’s planning to launch a successor to the X6 Plus as an unannounced Vivo-branded handset passed through China’s official certification database earlier today.

Information provided in the filing states the device will carry the X6SPlus moniker and indicates it will sport a 5.7-inch Full HD display, a 1.8GHz octa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel selfie snapper and a 3,000mAh battery. The unit is expected to ship running the latest build of Android 5.1 Lollipop, but should receive the Marshmallow upgrade in the not too distant future.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information with regards to when Vivo’s latest high-end handset is likely to be announced, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated with the all news on the X6SPlus as and when it breaks. In the meantime, hit the source link below to view the full certification certificate over on TENAA’s website.
