On Monday night, radio personality Ted Stryker was the lead for CBS’ livestream coverage of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. The phone carried around by Stryker was Motorola’s DROID Turbo 2, which was clearly present because the company paid for its Verizon-exclusive to be placed on the red carpet and everywhere during the ceremony.

Things just went a little too far when Stryker overdid showcasing the shatterproof screen.

Because CBS isn’t allowing videos from the Grammy’s site to be embedded, I’ve put together the transcript of the segment:

“I’ve got my DROID Turbo 2 which is gonna save me tonight, my favorite artists are gonna be here, I can look up all the latest news online from my favorite bands I’m gonna interview. I can take selfies and send them to my parents, text my friends ‘hey where are you inside the Grammys right now??’ I can do it all, so let me just take a picture so…”

*phone drops from Stryker’s hand and lands on the red carpet*

“And it’s okay. It’s the world’s first shatterproof display. Let me get my selfie in! Not bad!”

Kudos for the witty product placement, Motorola.
