Two-factor authentication is basically mandatory now-a-days. More and more manufactures are adding it to their apps, and everyone should be using it if they can. Instagram was a little late, but is finally adding it too.
If you don’t know what two-factor authentication is, you basically add your phone number to the app and it is used as a second level of security. This way if someone tries to hack your account, Instagram will automatically message you the security code, which the hackers won’t be able to access. It makes things much more difficult for hackers to get in without the added code.
Facebook owns Instagram and has been using two-factor authentication for a little while now. Not sure what took them so long to bring it to Instagram? However, it is great to hear that the feature will soon be rolling out to users.
