Samsung plans to unveil its new Galaxy S7 models this Sunday in Barcelona. To get us ready for the big debut, Samsung posted a video showing the evolution of its products.
In the video we caught glimpses of a handful of devices dating back to giant telephones. Samsung’s Galaxy S3, original Galaxy Note, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy S6 Edge all made appearances in the clip as well. But not only did it include phones, the video also had watches in it going back to the original Gear smartwatch. The clip ended with Samsung’s newest VR headset and displayed the words “who knows where progress will take us.” The clip lasts exactly a minute and a half in length. You can watch it in the embedded video below this article.
MWC 2016 is the next stop for Samsung, that’s when we’ll truly find out what’s next. Other than the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge duo, Samsung might take wraps off a new VR headset. The company may also announce a Gear 360 camera for taking 360-degree shots and videos. Everything else rumored such as the Galaxy Tab S3 line and Galaxy Tab A seem a bit unlikely, but hey, you never know.
Samsung’s press conference will be streamed online beginning Sunday at 1PM EST. It will be broadcasted in both standard video and 360-degree video for those who have VR headsets. This will be similar to how OnePlus debuted its OnePlus 2 this past year. I hope you’re as excited as we are. Stay tuned here at our website for the freshest news going in and out of MWC 2016. We’ll have you covered.
