HTC may not of had a big fancy presentation like LG or Samsung did at MWC 2016, but that didn’t stop them from launching four new phones. They launched three new Desire phones, and the One X9, which used to be for Asia-only.

The three new Desire phones are the Desire 530, 630, and 825. They are mid-level phones that feature very unique designs. What makes these phones so interesting to look at are their speckled backs.

The Desire 530 is cheapest of the bunch and features a 5″ 720p display, Snapdragon 210 CPU, and comes in a dual-color speckled backing. Either Stratus White Remix or Graphite Gray Remix.

Second up is the Desire 630, which features all the same internals as the 530, but adds a better 13MP camera and BoomSound with Dolby Audio speakers.

At the top of the range is the Desire 825. This one features a 5.5″ 720p display, Snapdragon 400 CPU, 13MP camera, BoomSound with Dolby Audio, and the same speckled style backing, which HTC calls “micro-splash”.

HTC also mentions that these new Desire phones are the first to feature sensor hub technology. This will allow new high-end features like Motion Launch and activity recognition to come to mid-range devices.

The previously Asia-only One X9 is very similar to the One A9. It features a 5.5″ 1080p display, metal body, 13MP camera, BoomSound with Dolby Audio front-facing speakers, however, no fingerprint sensor like the One A9 has. It also adds a larger 3,000mAh battery, which is great since the One A9 wasn’t known for having killer battery life. A few other differences is this phone is dual-SIM capable, and uses a MediaTek octa-core Helio X10 processor.

HTC says the One X9 will be coming to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at the end of February. The three Desire phones will launch later in March. We are not sure what the prices will be just yet.
