Vivo just let out a teaser on Weibo confirming 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820 SoC for the Xplay 5.
We’ve been waiting a long time for Vivo to out its new Xplay 5, and it won’t be much longer. The company just teased the handset on its own Weibo page. The rumors are true! The Vivo Xplay 5 will have a whopping 6GB of RAM onboard. This will be the first Android smartphone we’ve seen to include this amount of RAM. The Snapdragon 820 SoC was also confirmed by the teaser, which is the latest and greatest from chipmaker Qualcomm.
As a specs recap, the Xplay 5 is expected to include a dual-edge 6-inch display with a QHD resolution. Other leaks suggest a 16MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The Xplay 5 should also sport a beefy 4,300mAh battery. This phone is going to be a spec head’s dream! We can’t wait to see the performance benchmarks when this device launches.
The Vivo Xplay 5 will make its debut from Beijing’s Water Cube Convention Center on March 1st. That’s when we’ll have all the official details for you. Stay tuned!
