Rather than jump into the fray with a smartphone announcement, HTC decided to focus its efforts on midrange phones and the Vive at Mobile World Congress 2016. This paid off handsomely in the eyes of our own Chris Smith, who was quick to call the HTC/Valve hardware collaboration his favorite VR experience to date.
But just because the Vive has been dominating the headlines, it doesn't mean that HTC isn't hard at work on its followup to the One M9. At least, we're pretty sure that's what's going on in an email we got on Wednesday.
