Anyone who owns an ASUS phone will be happy to hear an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is coming your way. ASUS has just announced when the update will be coming out and which phones it will be coming to.
In total, there are eight phones, seven ZenFones and one PadFone receiving the update.
- PadFone S (PF500KL)
- ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition (ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE500KG, ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE551KL, ZE600KL, ZE601KL)
- ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
- ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)
- ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)
The exact date the update will be coming out hasn’t been listed, but ASUS says sometime in Q2 2016. Also, once you install the update, Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail will replace ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail, and ASUS Calendar as the default apps if you restore to factory settings. However, you can still download the old ASUS apps in the Play Store if you really want to.
