Leaked photos of Huawei’s rumored P9 have shown up online, though details are minimal thanks to the alleged device being enclosed in a case.

Design details are kept a secret, but thanks to the cutouts of the case, we can immediately see Huawei’s signature fingerprint scanner for the P9, as well as cutouts for what seems to be the dual-LED flash and a laser autofocus.

The smartphone’s frame ended up leaking as well. As you might expect, this didn’t offer many details either, as it looks just like any other smartphone frame out there. However, the one intriguing thing is that there’s a rectangular charging port, indicating that Huawei might end up going with USB Type-C on this smartphone. But, once again, it’s too early to tell at this point.

These images are no doubt the real deal. We saw what was purportedly the P9’s final design just a couple of weeks ago, and the cutouts and port placements seem to line up pretty accurately.

As far as specs go, initial benchmark results indicate that the Huawei P9 should include a 5.2-inch display, a Kirin 950 octa-core CPU and a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. With it, there should be a whopping 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 should be onboard. Of course, it will no doubt be running Huawei’s own heavily customized skin on top.

We haven’t heard on any official word from Huawei yet, but many are expecting the Chinese manufacturer to reveal it sometime in March.
