There’s some good news for folks that live abroad! Marshmallow has begun rolling out to the International LG V10, starting in Turkey.
Considering that it has begun its rollout in Turkey, other regions and markets should follow very shortly. Unfortunately, there’s no official word as to when we’ll see it in the US. In fact, the V10 hasn’t seen an update since November on AT&T, so who knows how long the wait could be for Marshmallow in the US on the V10.
For those of you that are getting the update, Marshmallow brings with it a ton of cool features. Doze brings some much-needed battery saving features to the handset, extending the life of the smartphone at a system-level. There’s also some other neat features, such as Google Now On Tap, App Permissions, and some other LG-specific changes.
This is an OTA update, and comes in at a whopping 800MB. That said, it could take some time to download, even over Wi-Fi. But, once installed, you should see a build number of MRA58K and a software version of V20b-TUR-xx (at least in Turkey).
If you haven’t gotten the update yet, you can always try and check for it manually in Settings > About Phone. We’ll hopefully see Marshmallow come to the handset in other regions very soon.
