The Android N Developer Preview could be rolling out soon, according to an article that was quickly removed from Ars Technica.
The Google I/O Developer Conference is to be held in May, where Google is expected to announce its yearly iteration of Android, this time codenamed Android N. However, according to the deleted Ars Technica article, the Android N Developer Preview has been posted for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Pixel C, Nexus 9 and the Nexus Player.
Oddly enough, the Android Beta website now gives a 404 error and the Android Developer website only shows Marshmallow. It’s likely that the Android N Developer Preview was posted on accident and was quickly pulled, thus the 404 error.
Either way, Reddit and a few publications were able to grab images of the preview and article before it abruptly disappeared.

According to the deleted article, Android N will bring support for running application side-by-side. There’s also a redesigned notification area and some improvements to Doze that enables it when the display is turned off.

The side-by-side feature is particularly interesting, and could be very useful for the Pixel C. Of course, not all apps will be side-by-side compatible, as developers will have to enable it. That said, it might not work as well as we think on launch day.
Hopefully we’ll get some official information very soon. Worst case scenario, we’re still going to be waiting until Google I/O in May.
