Google released the Android N Developer Preview a couple of days ago, with support for most of the Nexus smartphones and tablets that you might expect it to. What may surprise you is that the Android N Developer Preview also supports an Android One handset, in the form of the General Mobile 4G.
While you would expect to see the likes of the Nexus 6, 9, 5X, 6P, Nexus Player and the Pixel C tablet on the list of supported devices, the presence of the General Mobile 4G (Android One) handset is somewhat of a surprise, but I guess that is one of the attractions of the Android One program.
Just to refresh your memory, the General Mobile 4G launched in Turkey with a very acceptable list of specifications including a 5-inch IPS display, Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. And as its name implies, the handset also supports 4G networks.
It’s unknown whether other Android One handsets will join the General Mobile 4G smartphone on the list of devices supported by the Android N Developer Preview, but it is cause for hope. What device would like to see added to the list?
