Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A (2016) that’s been rumored for quite some time is now official! The slate has been listed on the company’s German website as well as a few other regional sites.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) replaces the older Galaxy Tab A and matches its 7-inch LCD display. It measures only 8.7mm thick and weighs a light 283g. Powering the slate is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. As expected, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) houses a 5MP rear-facing camera and a lesser 2MP front-facing camera. 8GB of internal storage space is included, which can be expanded for an additional 200GB via a microSD card. Android 5.1 is included straight out of the box.
The slate comes in two different colors, black or white. Both colors have the same amount of storage and sport only Wi-Fi connectivity. No cellular version is available to purchase at this time. Pricing goes for €169,00, which translates to approximately $188 in USD. For all the official images, see the gallery down below.
