Google Maps is becoming increasingly useful for anyone traveling to places near and far throughout the world. Today, Google added integration from ride services so that users have more options in addition to driving, taking public transportation, and walking. And all it takes to gain access is swiping over to the dedicated ride services tab when choosing your mode of transportation to get from one place to another.

As long as you have a ride service’s app installed on your device, Google Maps will show fare estimates and pick up times. Selecting from the list moves you over to the ride service’s app for quick booking.
Late last year, Uber opened the door for developers to bring its service into their apps.
While Uber is Google Maps’ global partner for this new feature, there are regional partners serving five countries: 99Taxis in Brazil, Ola Cabs in India, Hailo in the United Kingdom and Spin, mytaxi in Germany and Spain, and Gett in the United Kingdom.
Google is rolling out the ride service tab this week.
