The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has not been available for very long in the U.S., hitting retailers in February, but the deals are already starting up. Amazon is currently running a special knocking 20% off the regular price of $500. The Xperia Z5 Compact is a bit of a rarity in the smartphone market as it comes packed with pretty good hardware, but with a screen that is sub 5-inches in size. If you put any stock in what Apple may be working on, then Sony’s smaller version of a smartphone should definitely meet a need in the market.
The Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6-inch 720p screen powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor and 2GB of RAM. Internally, the device has 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 200GB via microSD. Sony put a 2,700mAh battery in the device and an Ultra Stamina mode that provides two days of operation between charges. The Xperia Z5 Compact gets a Sony Exmor RS camera sensor capable of capturing 23MP images.
