The Galaxy J1 is a relatively new smartphone out of the Korean tech giant that features low-end specs and a competitive price point. According to famous tipster Evan Blass who posted on Twitter, the handset could be on its way to U.S. carrier AT&T.
Samsung stays away from U.S. markets for lots of their low and mid-range handsets. However, this will likely not be the case with their new Galaxy J1 for 2016. Evan Blass took it to Twitter to tell everyone the device is inbound to AT&T. He also posted a render of what’s most presumably the version that’ll be available on AT&T. There has been no word on pricing nor availability, but it shouldn’t be too far off.
In case you have forgotten, or this is your first time hearing about the Galaxy J1 (2016), it sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It’s powered by a a quad-core Exynos 3475 processor backed with 1GB of RAM. The Galaxy J1 (2016) houses both a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. 8GB of internal memory is onboard, which can be expanded using a microSD card. Android Lollipop is pre-loaded. Hopefully we’ll get some options when it comes to colors. We’ll see what we get.
