Good news! Instagram isn’t mucking your social feed up. Not yet, anyway. Even better news! You’ll soon be able to upload 60 second clips to that feed, showing up Vine’s significantly shorter six second clips.
That’s really the only big change coming to Instagram, which will allow creators to do quite a bit with the videos that they post. A full minute is a long time when you think about how long someone potentially spends sitting and looking at a piece of social media content, but apparently Instagram thinks they have some users that have that kind of attention span. I’m definitely not one of those people, but if you want upload minute-long clips or watch those minute-long clips, you’re in good shape.
The update is rolling out to everyone soon, with the new feature live on iOS first.
