For some odd reason, we all love seeing brand new and expensive gadgets get absolutely destroyed. The Galaxy S7 went through a bevy of tests, but now the Galaxy S7 Edge is being put through the ultimate rite of passage: a hydraulic press.
The video, titled “Death of a Galaxy,” has been created by Slickwraps. In the video, a Galaxy S7 Edge in Slickwraps’ carbon fiber vinyl skin is pitted against a hydraulic press, capable of outputting 7,000psi. Yes, folks, that is a whopping 7,000 pounds of force.
The results of this test are outstanding. Obviously the Galaxy S7 Edge isn’t able to handle that much pressure, but then again, what smartphone can? However, what happens when you put that many pounds of pressure on an S7 Edge is pretty cool. There was even a mini-explosion.
