The ZTE A2017 may be nearing an official release. After surfacing on GFXBench earlier this month, the same handset just took a run on AnTuTu.
We still don’t have any information regarding what the ZTE A2017 will be, but signs point towards it being the Axon 2. Earlier today, the handset ran through a benchmark on AnTuTu, confirming more of its internal specs. We’re looking at a high-end smartphone with a QHD display composed of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The Snapdragon 820 from Qualcomm is running the beast, along with 4GB of RAM.
The camera looks to be of a 20MP lens on the rear, and an 8MP lens on the front. The unit undergoing the test contained 64GB of internal memory and had Google’s very latest Android 6.0.1 software onboard.
The phone managed to score a whopping 140,086 points on mobile-benchmarking site AnTuTu. This bests the results from current flagships like the LG G5, Galaxy S7, and Xiaomi Mi 5. If one thing is for sure, it won’t be cheap when it reaches the market. Hopefully it’ll be priced competitively, similar to last year’s Axon smartphone. No matter the price point, it’ll be one helluva spec beast. Availability and release date information are still up in the air. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
