Kavsas, owned by AOL, has been updated to version 2.0 bringing a ton of new features that focus on video streaming. It’s being touted as Kanvas Live, as the app will now allow you to stream live video with video effects and filters.
This includes editing, filters, gif stickers, painting, animations, and six compose modes.
These features have been live on iOS for a few months, but this marks the first time they’ve available on Android. Kanvas has seen some pretty impressive growth numbers since the Live features were rolled out, thanks to the sheer amount of functionality in the update. You’ve got 24 real-time filters to pick from, including things like fog and rain effects, plus the ability to stream live to Kanvas followers as well as social media sites.
If you like the fun effects in Snapchat but want the streaming capabilities of Periscope, give Kanvas a try. It offers the best of both worlds.
