If you’re interested in the Honor 5X, now’s the time to buy. Three of the phone’s retailers, including Honor itself, are running promotions starting today that include freebies with the Honor 5X for $199. Honor, Amazon, and Newegg are throwing in free earbuds and selfie sticks through the rest of the week.
Hit the break for details.
- Honor: Free earbuds and a selfie stick with Honor 5X purchase; 30% off all accessories
- Amazon: Free earbuds and $5 Amazon Music credit with Honor 5X purchase
- Newegg: Free earbuds and a selfie stick with Honor 5X purchase
These promotions end on April 15.
On April 8, Honor is hosting a special one-day deal being called a $1 Bonanza. It’s likely that all accessories sold by Honor will be knocked down to just $1 while supplies last. So you’re going to need quick hands if you plan on getting any cases or earbuds that day.
Being that the phone costs $199, the Honor 5X is a attractive as an off-contract option. The Honor 5X doesn’t really skimp on specifications. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 13MP / 5 MP cameras, and a fingerprint scanner. On paper, the Honor 5X is even better than the Motorola Moto G (2015) and is priced about the same. Huawei, who owns and operates the Honor brand, has a similar phone in the GX8; however, the Honor 5X is the smarter choice as Honor is more focused and committed on North America.
