If you don’t know about what’s going on in the world of Apple, for this article to make sense to you, know that the company just recently unveiled an iPhone SE. Today, LG trademarked G5 SE.
I think it’s pretty obvious that LG took this idea from a page in Apple’s book. The “SE” in Apple’s new iPhone SE, stands for ‘Special Edition.’ The iPhone SE released back in March and is aimed at the mid-range crowd and those who want a smaller 4-inch smartphone.
Earlier today, we noticed the trademark on the KIPRIS website. This caught us as striking because of how fast LG got on top of it. There’s no word on whether or not we’ll actually see an LG SE hit the market, but for LG’s sake, we’re hoping they don’t. If they do however, it will probably follow along the same lines as Apple’s iPhone SE, meaning we’ll get a smaller and less-powerful LG G5. In matter of fact, LG has already created the logo for a G5 SE, so they may indeed be serious about it. This could get really interesting.
