The budget-friendly sub-brand of Huawei, Honor, has just launched its Blue Wave promotion discounting both the Honor 5X and Honor 7 handsets and includes a choice of either a Bluetooth selfie stick or speaker with every order. Join us after the break for more details.

The Honor 5X can be had in either Gold, Silver, or Grey with either the Selfie Stick or the Bluetooth Speaker for £169/€229.

The 5.5-inch handset is powered by the Snapdragon 615, has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a MicroSD card slot, as well as Dual-SIM support. The Honor 5X also has an accurate fingerprint scanner on its rear panel and a 3,000mAh battery to get you through the day. Above the fingerprint scanner is a 13MP camera with flash, while on the front there is a 5MP sensor. The 5X runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 interface on top, and a Marshmallow update has been confirmed.

The Honor 7, however, is a tad smaller with its 5.2-inch Full HD display and powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 935 Octa-core processor. There’s 3GB of RAM for multitasking as well as 16GB of internal storage and MicroSD card support. As with the 5X, the Honor 7 boasts Dual-SIM support and a rear fingerprint sensor.

The Honor 7 has a 20MP camera flash on the rear while the front camera is of the 8MP variety. There’s a 3,100mAh non-removable battery and the handset is running Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 interface on top. As with the Honor 5X, a Marshmallow 6.0 update has been confirmed for the Honor 7 and is presently rolling out to units in Europe.

The Honor 7 has been discounted to £209/€299 in the Blue Wave promotion with the choice of either the Selfie Stick or the Bluetooth Speaker, which can be seen in the image below.
