T-Mobile has begun pushing out the long awaited Android 6.0.1 update to both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
Marshmallow, as you might be familiar with already, brings a ton of extra goodies to the handsets, including the battery saving feature known as Doze, App Permissions, better animations, improved performance, and a ton of other things.
T-Mobile hasn’t posted changelogs for the devices yet, but the update is currently rolling out now. This update will bump the Galaxy S6’s software version to G920TUVU3EPD1 and the Galaxy S7 Edge’s version to G925TUVU3EPD1.
Normally, you’ll get a prompt to download the new update, but if you haven’t yet, you can head on into Settings > About Phone to check for update manually. If you don’t see it, sit tight, updates like these do take some time to roll out to everybody, largely to prevent and look out for any bugs that might harm the smartphone.
If you’ve already got the update, be sure to let us know how you like Marshmallow in the comments below!
