It seems that 2016 will be a busy year for Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, having already launched the budget-friendly 5X earlier this year (keep an eye out for the review). The Honor 5C will officially launch on April 28th, and now it seems that there’s another new handset on the horizon, the Honor V8, with a May 10th launch date.

Like the Huawei P9, P9 Plus, and the Honor 6 Plus before it, the Honor V8 will have a dual-camera setup (as alluded to in the image above), and is believed to be the possible replacement for the Honor 7, which sold well in Asia and Europe. The image was posted on the official Honor website.

As for the other components, it’s likely that the Honor V8 will be powered by one of Huawei’s in-house processors, possibly the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950, along with 4GB of RAM. Being an Honor device, there will almost certainly be a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. It should be noted, though, that the dual-camera setup is the only confirmed specification at the present time.

We don’t have long to wait for May 10th to roll around when Honor will officially announce the V8 handset. What other specifications would you like to see included on the Honor V8? Let us know in the comments.
