Samsung announced a new color variant for both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge: Pink Gold. The handset launched with Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl, and Silver Titanium, but now this fifth color is being added to the lineup.
Samsung says that Pink Gold is “a natural color that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces.” The new color looks nice and sleek, but I’ll have to disagree with Samsung here, as no color of a smartphone has ever given me a “sense of comfort.” I certainly don’t put that much thought into choosing a color for my new phone, and I’m sure many others are the same way.
The color is currently available as a choice today for units in South Korea. Samsung will be expanding the availability to other regions, but we’re not quite sure when at this point.
Would you buy the handset in Pink Gold?
