Existing subscribers of Netflix are about to get a new option to pay for the service while newbies will have an even easier way to enroll. The video streaming company is about to go live with a new way to subscribe and pay for access.

On Monday, the Netflix app received a minor update with bug fixes and a special ‘coming soon’ feature. The changelog says “Coming soon: subscribe for Netflix via Google Play Billing” and a new permission is required to allow that. This will give customers the opportunity to pay with a Google Play balance or any other payment methods attached to an account on Google’s digital store.
Google Play already accepts subscriptions for items such as magazines, so it’s not surprising to massive service like Netflix become supported as well. Perhaps it means we’ll see Spotify, Hulu, and others join in the near future. It could be a big part of Google’s I/O 2016 plans.
