NVIDIA’s SHIELD set-top box has been out a while now, but it’s still the king of the castle where Android TV is concerned. It’s most recent firmware update saw the SHIELD gain mouse support via the controller’s right stick. Usually, the SHIELD bundle comes with one gaming controller, but for a limited time only, NVIDIA is throwing in a second controller free of charge.

The promotion is running in both the States and across the pond in the UK. The SHIELD 16GB plus two controllers will cost you $199, or $299 if you choose the SHIELD PRO with 500GB of storage. In the UK, you are looking at paying £149 for the 16GB SHIELD with the two controllers and £219 for the PRO version. The UK promotion runs until May 1st while the U.S. promotion merely that it’s available for a limited time, so there isn’t too much time to dither.

In the UK, NVIDIA is also throwing in a 3 month trial to its GEFORCE NOW service that allows you to stream a collection of 50 classic and new PC games. Usually, subscribing to GEFORCE NOW costs £7.49 monthly, so that’s a nice added bonus for UK buyers.

In case you were wondering, the SHIELD TV isn’t just about gaming, you can use it as a media player, as well as everything else that Android TV has to offer. If the promotion has piqued your interest, just click the appropriate link below.
