Will.i.am’s smartwatch called Dial is now available for pre-order at Three UK. And while you may not be excited about yet another smartwatch on the market, this one’s a tad different than the rest.
Dial is a standalone smartwatch, meaning you don’t need your smartphone for it to work. It’s able to operate entirely on its own.
UK-based carrier Three revealed today that it’s available for pre-order from them. You’ll have to pay £49 upfront on a two-year contract, but beyond that, it’s £24 per month for 500MB of data and 100 minutes of talk time.
Specifications on the smartwatch are pretty impressive, as the Dial sports 32GB of internal storage, a 1.63-inch touchscreen, an 800mAh battery, and a 2MP front-facing camera. It’s being powered by Android 5.0.2, and even has a built-in digital assistant called AneedA.
Those who pre-order the smartwatch won’t have to wait long, as Three anticipates deliveries to start on May 13. That will also be the same day that in-store availability starts.
Anyone’s interest piqued?
