HTC One M8 and One M9 owners on AT&T were expecting to get Marshmallow this month, but it’s running behind schedule.
HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, tweeted about the delay on his Twitter page. He noted that there’s a slight delay in obtaining approval for Google’s latest Marshmallow OS. He also noted that they’re still in the lab, but plan to start rolling out the update to HTC One M8 and One M9 owners on AT&T in the next couple of weeks.
Some U.S. carriers have already pushed out the update to HTC’s past flagship smartphones. These include Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. If you ask me, AT&T seems to be showing less care for HTC. AT&T delaying this update rollout, and reportedly not selling HTC’s new 10 flagship smartphone made me come to this conclusion. If you’re bound to AT&T and are a loyal HTC fan, the future doesn’t appear so bright.
