The Xiaomi Mi Max is inching towards an official release, which is scheduled to go down on May 10th. Just today, the handset reached the chinese regulatory TENAA.
We got a glimpse of what the Mi Max should look like a few days ago, and this certification just about confirms what we’re getting. The images from the handset’s certification show it in Gold. It sports capacitive keys on the front bottom bezel which is white in color. On the back a fingerprint scanner is present on top of what appears to be a premium aluminum finish.
As far as specs go, one can expect a 6.4-inch Full HD display and a Snapdragon 650 processor with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM pending the storage option. The Mi Max will house a 16MP rear-facing camera and a lesser 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. Available storage capacities will include 16GB, coming with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB, which will have 3GB of RAM. We’re expecting none less than Google’s latest in that of Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s new MIUI 8 on top of it.
